JOURNEY INTO RELAXATION- Transforming your life
Saturday, May 11th- 10:30 – 12:15
Journey into Relaxation is an ancient practice that brings positive and sustainable changes to behaviors and habits in your life. This practice can be beneficial for sleep issues, stress, muscle tension and an overall sense of well-being. Translated as “sleep of the yogi”, we will be using a combination of intention, breathing, meditation and visualization to bring us into conscious relaxation. The workshop begins with a short explanation and information about what to expect followed by a complete relaxing experience. Please feel free to either sit in a chair or lie down during the practice. Every body will benefit. You may bring a favorite blanket and/or pillow to help in your relaxation. A minimum number of registrations necessary, so sign-up today! Cost $20. Contact Tracy Patch with any questions; gentlewisdomyoga@gmail.com ;

An Introduction to Compassionate Communication
How to live centered in your compassionate nature
Based on Marshall Rosenberg’s Nonviolent Communication™ (NVC)
Saturday, May 18, 2013 9:00 - 12:00
Grounded in compassion and the universality of human needs, NVC helps to transform habitual patterns of communication that often lead to suffering and disconnection from ourselves and others. Learn fundamental skills and concepts to express what deeply matters to you and receive others with greater compassion. Experience the transformative power of empathy. Please join Rocky Mountain Compassionate Communication Center facilitators Kate Kendrick (www.katekendrick.com) and David Steele for a three hour workshop to explore how NVC can help you to:
Find your way back to your heart when you are triggered.
Communicate in ways that are in harmony with your spiritual values. Better understand people’s motivations, including your own, so that you can live more happily and compassionately with others. Develop skills for communicating hard to hear messages in ways that build trust, understanding and connection rather than stimulating defensiveness. Let go of assumptions, dissolve barriers to understanding and find solutions that work for everyone. Discover how cultivating self-compassion is the key to living compassion in every situation. Improve and enrich your relationships with family, friends, colleagues and co-workers.
To register contact: Kate Kendrick, 303-485-9428 or k.kendrick@mac.com
Investment: $35.00. Proceeds benefit the Rocky Mountain Compassionate Communication Center. (rmccc.net) Scholarship funds available to those in need. Scholarship donations gratefully accepted.

Dances of Universal Peace with
Jennifer Friedman and Britt Ripley
Meets at The Meditation Place
Next Dance is the third Sunday of each month
Sunday, May 19, 4 to 6 PM
The Dances of Universal Peace are simple, meditative, joyous, multi-cultural circle dances that use sacred phrases, chants, music and movements from the many spiritual traditions of the earth to touch the spiritual essence within ourselves and recognize it in others. The Dances promote peace and integration within individuals and understanding and connection within groups worldwide. There are no performers nor audience: new arrivals and old hands form the circle as everyone sings and dances together. Jen Friedman and Britt Ripley lead a warm and welcoming Dance circle that invites us into a rich contemplative experience while also creating space for us not to take ourselves too seriously; encouraging open and heartfelt connection to arise naturally within the group. To learn more, please contact Jen at 303-746-5191 or jennifer@jenniferfriedman.com
